  It is my second Picture of the Khajjiar Lake situated in the Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh in India. Khajjiar is also known as the mini Switzerland of India because of its beauty and similarity in the surroundings of  Switzerland.  Many Indian and foreign tourists visit Khajjiar every year.  In Khajjiar, we can find a small lake as seen in the picture.   Prashar Lake situated at the hilltop in Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh. One of the reasons for its popularity is its floating island. There are also some other lakes around the world that do have floating islands. However, in northern India, it is the only lake. Whenever we visit a water body like a lake or big reservoir, the first thing we encounter is the large numbers of water birds like various ducks and other migratory birds. I took this picture at the Nangal lake created by Nangal Dam. It is one of the main attractions of this lake and every year many migratory birds visit this lake. Here is a picture of fishermen fishing at sunset at Rupnagar wetland Lake. In this picture, you can see two fishermen on a small boat catching fishes in Ropar Lake. Rupnagar (Ropar) is one of the recognized wetland in Punjab, though, Punjab Government doesn't look much interested in its promotion and increasing facilities at this place. Here enjoy Close up picture of a Mysteriously floating island present in Parashar Lake (situated at a height of 2730 m or 8560 feet). This floating island keeps on changing its position through-out the year. In the  background , you can watch the ancient Parashar Rishi and Temple complex. At this place, you get a heavenly experience which is difficult to put in words. To reach this Lake, you are first required to climb 60-150 feet and then descend to the same height. The road to reach Parashar Lake is in slightly worse condition and you can encounter snow on road except for few summer months ; therefore, much care must be taken to reach this place. However, the experience you get after reaching this place is extremely wonderful.
