  Here is front picture of the Asha Puri Temple situated on the top of the Hill. The temple is believed to b constructed by Pandavas during their hidden stay. Whole of the temple is constructed from the stones and offer a great view of the surrounding area because of its unique location. 

  Recently, during my visit to Mandi town, I got a chance to visit Panchvaktra (PanchBakhtar) temple. It is one of the ancient temples made from stones by Shikra-style architects. This temple is situated on the confluence of the rivers Beas and the local river Suketi. This temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva like Bhoothnath Temple in Mandi. Mandi is also known as Choti Kashi because of 80 plus temples in the city.  Other Shiv Temple pictures taken by me are Shiv Bari Bachhretu , Shiv Temple Baijnath and Old Shiva Temple Rewalsar

  In Himachal, we can find many styles of temple making. (Visit Beautiful and ancient temples of Himachal )The oldest temples are made of stone and due to this reason, they are able to survive so long. Above you can see a temple of Lord Vishnu made of stone. Inside the temple, we can see a standing idol of Lord Vishnu. This temple is situated near the famous Naggar Castle at Naggar Town (Kullu, Himachal). It is an 11th-century temple and it is quite different from the other temples in the area.   In Himachal Pradesh, we can find many different traditions and cultures. In hills, we can find many local deities and Gods on which people of the area have lots of faith. Recently. I also shared with you pictures of the Pandoi Devta  which is very unique to this area. This temple is surrounded by tall pine trees and the location is very beautiful.   Here is a beautiful temple of the Pandoi Devtaji  (Click for more) at a place called Pandoa. This place is situated adjacent to Satluj river and we can reach here by Major district road 22 from Tatapani to Luhri or Rampur. In the temple premises, we can also find a Shivlinga made by Pandavas during their exile. Last time, I also told you that in India we get many chances to visit different types of temples . Here is another picture of a Shiv Temple situated at the village called Bachhretu just a 5 KM away from Shahtali town in Himachal. Lots of people who come to the darshans of Baba Balak Nath also come to visit this Lord Shiva Temple and the natural water spring present near the temple.   Here is a picture of another temple for you. India is a country of Temple and we can find many different types of temples here which we can't see in other parts of the world. It is because of the presence of so many religions and cultures in India. This picture, I took at the Hatu peak of the Hatu Mata temple. This temple is also made in traditional style with beautiful designs on the wood. This temple is a delight for the eyes because of the wooden work and ancient style. This temple looks to be newly constructed however, they have retained the traditional look well. Local Goddess at Mandi international Shivratri Festival  If anyone wants to see the Gods and Goddess in real then he can visit the Mandi International Shivratri Festival because during this festival all local Gods and Goddess (Deities) of the surrounding reach here to celebrate this festival. This fair is held every year for seven days starting from the Shivratri. More than 200 hundred local deities visit this place and millions of people gather to take their blessings.
