Whenever we visit a water body like a lake or big reservoir, the first thing we encounter is the large numbers of water birds like various ducks and other migratory birds. I took this picture at the Nangal lake created by Nangal Dam. It is one of the main attractions of this lake and every year many migratory birds visit this lake. A seating Chair Hidden in the Tree On my visit to Satluj Park, Nangal; I came across this seating chair well hidden in the trees. I liked this seating arrangement because of its perfect location because there was always shade at this place and you were not clearly visible to others. Here is a picture of Tindan Wala Khoo ( Persian Wheel well ) in working condition. Before the advent of electricity and diesel water pumps, it was common to see these wells across Punjab and in other parts of India. Today, it is very difficult to find a Tindan Wala Well in working condition. In Hindi, Tindan Wala Khoo is called Rehet . I saw such well before too, but that one was not in working condition. Rehets  were mostly operated by animals; though, the Rahet which you see in the picture is made to be run by hands. I took this picture near Ropar Town of Punjab. Here is a picture of Samber (Female) deer , which I took during my recent visit to a Kandi Forest area near Ropar town in Punjab. We can commonly see Samber deer in this forest. This was my first encounter with Samber deer in the forest. It is very enjoyable to see these animals in wild and open; then to see them in the zoo. I hope that we will learn to keep them in the wild then keeping them in zoos. Samber (Female) Deer

It is a culture in Punjab to put different kinds of statues at the top of the Home and sometimes, water tanks at the top of the home are given the shape of Airplane or other things. Here is a picture of a Man's face appeared on a rock due to decay in the Kandi Forest of Punjab. In this picture, you can clearly see all features of a man's face like two eyes, one nose, mustache and mouth. Sometimes, you get a chance to capture few such miracles of life. Here is a beautiful picture of the  world famous Golden temple . In this picture, you can clearly see the main Golden Gurdawara (Temple) situated inside the water reservoir. Every year, millions of people from across the world visit the Golden Temple at Amritsar. It is the main Gurdawara of worship for devotees of Sikh religion. In this picture, we can clearly see the shining gold on the upper flowers of Golden temple. Many people visit India only to see the Golden temple at Amritsar. Here is a picture of fishermen fishing at sunset at Rupnagar wetland Lake. In this picture, you can see two fishermen on a small boat catching fishes in Ropar Lake. Rupnagar (Ropar) is one of the recognized wetland in Punjab, though, Punjab Government doesn't look much interested in its promotion and increasing facilities at this place. Here is close up of the Black Drongo (Dicrurus macrocercus). It is common to find this bird in the rural parts of Punjab. Black Drongo is completely Black and it is in the shape of an arrow. Here is a picture of an Indian Pond Heron Perfectly Hiding in Leaves till I spotted it at Harike Wetland (Punjab). These birds are very common; however, we hardly got a chance to see them because their camouflage so excellent that we can only notice them when we go very close to them. I hope you will also love to spot one in a nearby pond. The Harike is a wonderful wetland and we can witness many wonderful birds there. Here is a picture of Oriental magpie-robin and his Shadow on the Wall. I was trying to take a picture of Oriental magpie-robin from the last few months; however, due to the shy nature of this bird, I was unable to take its pictures.
