  Recently, during my visit to Mandi town, I got a chance to visit Panchvaktra (PanchBakhtar) temple. It is one of the ancient temples made from stones by Shikra-style architects. This temple is situated on the confluence of the rivers Beas and the local river Suketi. This temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva like Bhoothnath Temple in Mandi. Mandi is also known as Choti Kashi because of 80 plus temples in the city.  Other Shiv Temple pictures taken by me are Shiv Bari Bachhretu , Shiv Temple Baijnath and Old Shiva Temple Rewalsar

Local Goddess at Mandi international Shivratri Festival  If anyone wants to see the Gods and Goddess in real then he can visit the Mandi International Shivratri Festival because during this festival all local Gods and Goddess (Deities) of the surrounding reach here to celebrate this festival. This fair is held every year for seven days starting from the Shivratri. More than 200 hundred local deities visit this place and millions of people gather to take their blessings. Here is a picture of an old Shiva temple situated on the bank of the famous Rewalasar Lake in the Mandi District of Himachal Pradesh. Around this lake, we can find worship places of Hindus, Buddhists, and Sikhs. This is an old Shiva Temple; however, it is coloured from the outside. Here enjoy Close up picture of a Mysteriously floating island present in Parashar Lake (situated at a height of 2730 m or 8560 feet). This floating island keeps on changing its position through-out the year. In the  background , you can watch the ancient Parashar Rishi and Temple complex. At this place, you get a heavenly experience which is difficult to put in words. To reach this Lake, you are first required to climb 60-150 feet and then descend to the same height. The road to reach Parashar Lake is in slightly worse condition and you can encounter snow on road except for few summer months ; therefore, much care must be taken to reach this place. However, the experience you get after reaching this place is extremely wonderful. Here is picture of ancient and sacred temple of Prashar Rishi situated adjacent to Parashar Lake in Mandi district. This temple is built in 13th century and is a pagoda-like temple. As per legend, this temple was constructed by six month old baby from a single Tree. Parashar Rishi mediated at place and Prashar Lake is believed to came in to existence through his meditation. Parashar Rishi is first saint to explain how planet acts as per Karma and he is founder of Indian astrology (as mentioned in Temples of Clouds documentry ). Here is an HD Picture of a Historical and sacred Lake situated in the Mandi District of Himachal Pradesh. This lake is situated at a  height of 2730 m or 8560 feet. In this lake, you can find a  floating island that changes its position from time to time. Adjacent to the  lake , there is an  ancient temple of Parashar Rishi who meditated here.
